Matter of Chance Productions is a Phoenix, AZ-based film and video production company. Since our founding in 2004, we have completed twenty-four short films, with a number of films in production. Our films have won awards in nearly every category, including writing, directing, acting, cinematography, editing, and more.

Matter of Chance is dedicated to producing thought-provoking films that explore the nooks and crannies of human behavior and contemplate social issues. We continue to explore many genres, with a focus on human drama and psychological thrills, always with a clever twist, and a splash of humor.

07 April 2010 - The Phoenix Comicon Film Festival has selected The Sweet Science for their 2010 program. The film will screen as part of the Sci-Fi Extravaganza program Friday, May 29 starting at 5pm, at the Phoenix Convention Center. We are excited to be a part of this event for the third year in a row.

01 Mar 2010 - Matter of Chance Director of Photography Joshua J. Provost is currently featured as March IFP/PHX Filmmaker of the Month in this interview.

01 Mar 2010 - The Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival has selected Days of Being Wrinkle Free for their 2010 program. The festival takes place April 7-11 in Providence and Pawtucket, RI. Screening dates and times to come.

26 Feb 2010 - We produced a new short film, Sixteen, for the Almost Famous Film Festival 2010 48-hour challenge. The film screened at AMC Arizona Center on Thursday, February 25 to a sold-out crowd. It placed 3rd among comedies and 4th overall. Actors Roman Santistevan and Sawyer Helm received Outstanding Performance awards.

06 Feb 2010 - The Phoenix Film Festival has selected The Sweet Science for their 2010 program. The film will screen as part of Arizona Shorts A program Saturday, April 10 at 2pm and Sunday, April 11 at 4:50pm, at Harkins Scottsdale 101. Viewer discretion advised, other films in the program contain mature content.
