Matter of Chance Productions is a Phoenix, AZ-based film and video production company. Since our founding in 2004, we have completed twenty-two short films, with a number of films in production. Our films have won awards in nearly every category, including writing, directing, acting, cinematography, editing, and more. Matter of Chance is dedicated to producing thought-provoking films that explore the nooks and crannies of human behavior and contemplate social issues. The Sweet Science News 08 Jun 2009 - The San Diego International Children's Film Festival has selected Wildlifeless to screen as part of their 2009 program. The film will screen Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park. More details to follow. 08 Mar 2009 - The Arizona International Film Festival has selected Days of Being Wrinkle Free for their 2009 program. The film will screen Wednesday, April 22, 8pm at The Screening Room, 127 East Congress Street, Tucson, AZ. 06 Mar 2009 - The Phoenix Film Festival has selected Days of Being Wrinkle Free for their 2009 program. The festival will run from April 2-9, 2009 at the Harkins Scottsdale 101 Theaters. The film is part of Arizona Shorts Program B, which will screen twice, at 4:35pm on Friday, April 3, and 11:00am on Saturday, April 4. 05 Mar 2009 - The Sweet Science was named Best Drama at the Almost Famous Film Festival Top 20 screening. The film was also awarded for Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Script Runner-Up, Best Style Runner-Up, Best Acting Runner-Up, while Angel Ruiz and Mario Guzman received honors for Outstanding Individuals Performances. This is Matter of Chance's biggest night in our brief history, and we are grateful to the cast and crew and to everyone involved with the A3F. 22 Feb 2009 - Matter of Chance produced a new film, The Sweet Science, for the 2009 Almost Famous Film Festival 48-Hour Challenge. The film will screen with the Top 20 films at 7pm on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the AMC 24 Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix. |
